Is it still summer or is it fall? Will it be hot outside or will there be a chill in the air? Should I wear jeans or shorts? These are questions we ask this time of year - and I don’t have the answers. I can, however, help with the question of what to do as a family this September. See below!Read More
Elephant’s Trunk is a huge and well known flea market in New Milford, CT. As a person who likes modern design, I don’t usually seek out antiques or vintage stuff. But as an activity blogger living in CT, I knew I must check this spot out.
Elephant’s Trunk is open only on Sunday mornings from early April until early December. The flea market started in 1976 with just a handful of vendors, but these days around 500 vendors and food trucks greet huge crowds each Sunday.Read More

April is a month where a lot of folks wake up from their winter hibernation to once again head outdoors and enjoy some fresh air again. And knowing this, many seasonal businesses choose April as the time to re-open for the warm weather season.
We will be missing many of these openings given our trip to Hawaii (woot! woot!), but you certainly do not have to miss the fun. Here are a bunch of cool things opening for the season this April. Let me know in the comments if you make it to any of these while I’m away. I can’t wait to check them out when we’re back.Read More

Spring has sprung. But that does not mean just blue skies and sun from here on out. Nope, we may still be freezing for a few months. And even once higher temps do arrive, there will still be rainy days to contend with. Cold out? Kids off from school? Valentines Day around the corner? I have an idea for you. Bring them to Chocolate Works, where they can make and decorate their own adorable chocolate molds. It’ll be fun AND you can call it their Valentines Day gift!
Note: This post is about Chocolate Works in Darien, CT. Chocolate Works is a national chain and some or all of the below may apply globally but I have only visited the Darien location.Read More
I only learned recently that PEZ Candies are made less than an hour from my house! Not only that, but there’s a PEZ Visitor Center with fun goings on less than an hour from my house! The good news for me is that I don’t eat candies that aren’t made of chocolate. The bad news for me is that the same does not apply to my kids. They love PEZ and so, off we went recently to check out the PEZ Visitor Center in Orange, CT.Read More

Find out all the details below and be sure to sign up on January 17th.Read More
The holidays are over. The presents unwrapped. The new toys are already feeling old to the kids. And school doesn’t start up again until January. What do we do NOW?
